Max "the Axe" Damage and H-Flame ran into each other. They both new they had an upcoming Number One Contender's match for the KPW Championship, and the tension between the friends and sometimes tag team partners was palpable. Damage insisted that whatever the result of the match, they'd still remain friends - and may the best man win!
Queen Hollie demanded that intern Suki Gogo answer her cellphone for her as she was "busy". When the Intern was nowhere to be found, the Queen deigned to take the call herself. The call turned ugly when the mystery caller promised that in two short weeks, they'd drag Queen Hollie back to the dog pound!

Both men had suffered a loss in their last outing - Delorean had run afoul of "Brute force" and the Irishman's tag team partner Jimmy Fox had been pinned by "Powerhouse" Jade Diamond. Both wrestlers were undoubtedly looking for a win to further their KPW ranking, but the crowd was firmly on the side of one combatant and one combatant only - the man of the people, Chris Delorean!
Delorean's speed stood him in good stead against the "On The Mat" veteran, but Mike Ryan soon tied up Delorean in an armbar and battered away. Taking the younger wrestler to the mat using his amateur wrestling skills, the Irishman proceeded to punish the "Neon Knight". In a case of "age before beauty", Mike Ryan beat Delorean down from one side of the ring to the other. Colour commentator Wilba Force called the match-up a case of "David versus Goliath", and it was easy to see why. Delorean dug deep and used his speed to avoid a corner charge, then responded in kind! A drop kick staggered the Irishman, but Ryan used his experience to catch Delorean as "Mr Love Potion Sixty-Nine" came off the top rope with a flying cross bodyblock; Delorean was left helpless! The merciless Irishman closed in with the Irish elbow (atomic elbow drop) and a handful of tights for the tainted victory.
Winner: Irishman Mike Ryan with the Irish elbow for the win by pinfall
After the match, Terry the Golden Greek shared his wisdom concerning treachery versus youth with the capacity crowd.

Max Damage was more than determined, seeing this match as his ticket to the coveted KPW Championship. For H-Flame, this match was a chance to claim a shot at the championship that was all but robbed from him by Inferno. Though both were friends and obviously determined to keep it in the ring, this time H-Flame and Damage were all business. Knowing each other's style so well meant that each was one step ahead of the other, exchanging takedowns and pinning predicaments in the early going. H-Flame controlled the bigger man with a waka-gatame and rapid-fire attacks, but the Motorua Monster had the toughness to weather the attack and avoid a second-rop elbow drop from H-Flame. Damage came back with the Thunder in Taradise (running leaping legdrop) and a corner avalanche, but the "international superstar" caught the bigger man with a springboard cross body block but barely escaped from a sidewalk slam from the bigger man.
The former champ knocked Damage down with a drop kick flush to the jaw and reversed the Damage Gauge into a belly-to-back suplex. Suddenly, the match was interrupted as KPW Champion Inferno walked out to ringside. The fiery one claimed it didn't matter who won the match, as he'd take them out no matter what! Infuriated by the KPW Champion's appearance, H-Flame left himself wide open. Seeing a golden opportunity, Max Damage pounced and rolled up H-Flame for the winning pinfall and coveted Number One Contender's spot!
Winner: Max Damage with a rollup for the win (and Number One Contender's spot) by pinfall.
The crowd was divided on the result, some feeling that Max Damage took an unfair advantage. H-Flame was certainly displeased with Damage, having been all but cheated out of the chance to regain the championship of which he was essentially robbed. Nevertheless, he made a point of thanking the fans as he left, leaving Max Damage to celebrate in the ring.
Ms Bell interviewed Max Damage, the new Number One Contender to the KPW championship. Damage denied that Inferno's sudden appearance was "an assist"; it was all about the belt, and that all that mattered. Max Damage then let Inferno know that his days as KPW Champion were numbered!
For KPW's "Off The Ropes", this is Blair "the Flair" saying, "See you at ringside!"
