KPW on Maori TV news - Tues 30 October 2012

Maori TV news was present at KPW "Halloween Howl 6" on Fri 26th October and interviewed GWE Champion "Powerhouse" Jade Diamond, the original Maori Warrior Mister Juno Huia and new KPW Champion Whetu the Maori Warrior.

The Maori TV news report on the KPW show is currently scheduled to air on Te Kāea on Tuesday 30th October.

Te Kāea screens on Maori TV daily at 5.30pm, and also screens with English subtitles at 7.30pm and 11.00pm.

KPW stars interviewed

Maori TV interviewed "Powerhouse" Jade Diamond (Ngapuhi) who traveled all the way from Australia to retain his GWE (Global Wresting Entertainment) Championship against "English Sensation" Marcus Kool.

Also interviewed was Whetu the Maori Warrior (Te Arawa), battered and bruised but thrilled about winning the KPW Championship from the villainous Technician in front of Whetu's own whanau.

Maori TV also interviewed a New Zealand wrestling veteran from the days of "On The Mat", Mister Juno Huia (Ngati Porou).  Mister Huia wrestled as the first "Maori Warrior", and now manages and mentors both Whetu (the new "Maori Warrior") and Jade Diamond.  Mister Huia was on hand to share with Maori TV his thoughts on these two young Maori competitors and how they represent the tangata whenua in the New Zealand wrestling scene of today.
