KPW "HALLOWEEN HOWL 6" - results in full

A sell-out crowd filled Wellington High School for KPW's showcase event of the year on Friday 26th October!  "Halloween Howl 6" was set to be the homecoming of none other than Kiwi wrestling veteran Bushwhacker Luke and the KPW fans had turned out in force to see him join forces with his nephew Kade Morgan "3G" restore the family honour against KPW GM Terry the Golden Greek's vile tag team combination.  With three singles championships also at stake, the packed wrestling card promised the best in New Zealand professional wrestling action!

T-REX versus LAZARUS VOLT (w/Trinket the Clown)
The opening match pitted one half of the KPW Tag Team Champions against a rising star in KPW, the bitter and humourless "Beast from Invercargill" T-Rex.  Such was his unbridled savagery that the "Grumpasorous" attacked Volt from behind before the opening bell.  The "little man from the big top" used his speed to his advantage, ducking out of T-Rex's path so that the charging bigger man tumbled to the outside of the ring.  Being outside provided no rest for the wicked, as Volt pressed his unique attack with a flying leg lariat from the apron to T-Rex on the floor!  Back in the ring, T-Rex used his considerable anger to rally and trapped the ex-ringmaser in the corner.  T-Rex battered the smaller man down and almost into the canvas with crushing forearms.  T-Rex then easily picked up Volt for a crushing spinning side slam for a two-count.  To the outrage of the KPW fans, T-Rex then grabbed handfuls of Volt's beard to haul him over in a merciless "hair mare" for another two count.

With the crowd behind him, Volt dug deep to take the fight to the bigger man back, but raw  determination only got him so far and he was smashed back down by the ferocious T-Rex once more.  Volt retained enough wrestling acumen to dodge a deadly corner charge by T-Rex.  Seeing an opening, Volt tattooed his opponent with scintillating jabs to the face.  T-Rex managed to shrug off the assault and grabbed Volt's arm in preparation for a pumphandle slam, but Volt slipped out the back door and reversed the move into a rana!

With the advantage once more,  Volt climbed high above the centre ring and hit the High Voltage (top rope drop kick), but amazingly, T-Rex was knocked down to only one knee!  Seeking to bring out the big guns once more, the "purple one" climbed to the top rope again, but T-Rex had the big move well-scouted and cast Volt aside to the pitiless canvas far below.  Angered beyond reason, the bigger man muscled the senseless Volt up and down in the Killjoy powerbomb to seal the latest victory for the new monster of KPW!
Winner: T-REX pinned Lazarus Volt with the Killjoy (powerbomb).

BULL ADDAMS of "the Elite" (with ATH) versus H-FLAME
The crowd was eager to see whether the power half of the KPW Tag Team Champions H-Flame could fare better in singles competition than his partner had in the previous match.  As the longest-reigning KPW champion in KPW history, the "international superstar" is equally at home in singles or tag team competition.  With his athleticism and power, H-Flame is perhaps the only person in KPW who could go toe-to-toe with the massive Bull Addams and live to tell the tale.

Big Bull Addams powered out of the initial lockup.  H-Flame was taken down and Addams singled out a body part with an armwringer, viciously pump-handling the trapped limb.  H-Flame used his wrestling ability to work his way free but the Big Bull from the Bay simply shrugged off the co-Tag Team Champion's running shoulderblocks and dropkick with his apparently superior resilience.   Addams trapped H-Flame in a chinlock.  H-Flame fought back to his feet and struck back with a dropkick.  Bull Addams attempted a German suplex, but the more experienced H-Flame somersaulted out of the move and reversed into an inverted DDT.  H-Flame went for a rana, but was viciously powerbombed for his troubles.  Getting his second wind, H-Flame hit Bull Addams at right angles coming off the ropes with a dropkick.

With both men down, the race was on to see who could get to their feet first.  Bull Addams retreated to the outside of the ring, but H-Flame fearlessly followed with a top rope plancha onto his unsuspecting opponent, much to the chagrin of ATH.  Back in the ring, H-Flame acknowledged the hard-won adulation of the KPW fans.  ATH encouraged Bull Addams to re-enter the ring, where the still dazed competitor was suddenly and violently locked into a crossface by H-Flame.  Seeing his client in direct peril, ATH "ran interference" by jumping up on the ring to debate semantics with referee Danny "Soul Man" Sol.  So frustrated by ATH's presence was H-Flame, that the "international superstar" broke the hold to chase ATH from the apron, exactly as the devious manager had planned.

Things looked bad for the Tauranga native when H-Flame managed to hit the devastating Nuke (sunset flip powerbomb), but ATH had bought enough time for Bull Addams to recover and suddenly the match had swung back in favour of the Elite.  Climbing to the top rope, the massive Addams went for a top rope splash but H-Flame's experience showed through and he avoided the move, leaving the flying Bull to instead  crash and burn.  Never one to let an opportunity slip by, H-Flame let loose the Nuke once more and scored the win by pinfall!
WINNER:  H-FLAME pinned Bull Addams with the Nuke (sunset flip powerbomb).

"The Natural" STEVE JORDAN of "the Elite" (with ATH) versus STIX
This match was a chance for the Elite to re-establish their supposed dominance in KPW, with the cockier half of the Elite all set to take on good-time rock 'n' roll drummer Stix in singles competition.  From the opening bell, Steve Jordan simultaneously showing his wrestling ability and viciousness by attacking Stix's knee.  Utilising the support of the KPW fans, Stix rallied against his opponent and scored big with an attitude-changing Gory Special.  Then from out of the locker room stalked the fearsome "Demolition Man" Shane Carver, surely coming to the ring for more than moral support to either wrestler.  Sure enough, Carver set about distracting Referee Danny "Soul Man" Sol.  This allowed Steve Jordan to blindside his opponent with a merciless chop block and keeping Stix grounded with a vicious kneebar.  Stix fought back to his now-shaky feet and climbed hazardously to the top rope, managing to hit a top rope dropkick.

"The Natural" regained control of the match with a back suplex.  Working suspiciously well together, Jordan ran his mouth at Referee Danny Sol which allowed Carver to choke the veritable life from the drummer in the corner.  Ejecting the "Demolition Man" from the apron, Referee Danny Sol was not party to manager ATH slipping a convenient metal medical kneebrace to Jordan, but was on hand for Jordan's subsequent attack on Stix with the foreign object.  This left the referee no choice but to disqualify Jordan and award the bout to Stix.
WINNER:   STIX beat "The Natural" Steve Jordan (w/ATH) by disqualification when Jordan struck Stix with a kneebrace in sight of Referee Danny Sol.

After the match, Jordan continued to attack Stix's knee with sadistic abandon, completely ignoring the efforts of the KPW referees to restrain him. The "Demolition Man" joined in the unnecessary violence, seeing off "Marvelous" Mark Freemantle when he attempted to save Stix from further punishment.  Eventually tiring of the assault on Stix's knee, Jordan and Carver allowed the KPW referees to carry Stix from the ring on a stretcher.  Having emphatically gained revenge from losing to Stix at the last show, Shane Carver looked to have impressed the Elite as a potential recruit.  Meanwhile, Steve Jordan couldn't resist a parting cheap shot and attacked the helpless Stix, knocking the injured wrestler from his stretcher!  Sadly, it became clear that the Elite didn't care about winning the match - they were much more set on using Stix to send a message to the rest of KPW: the Elite will not be denied!

KPW Women's Championship match: SCARLETT (from NZWPW) versus NURSE PAYNE (champion)
The fiery challenger was determined to return to NZWPW as the new Women's Champion.  For her part, Nurse Payne was all fired up for her first inter-promotional title defence.  The two competitors exchanged technical holds at the outset of the match as champion and challenger sought the first advantage.  Scarlett scored with a devastating backbreaker subsequently turned into a vicious stretch for the poor Nurse, but Scarlett's frustration and the champ's resilience caused the challenger to cast the champion aside.  Scarlett pressed the advantage by laying boots to Nurse Payne's unprotected back.  Eschewing sportspersonship, Scarlett grabbed handfuls of the champ's long hair and hauled the hapless Nurse Payne into a slam for a two-count.

Having her opponent right where she wanted her, Scarlett locked Nurse Payne into a straitjacket camel clutch, but the champion scooted out of the hold and managed to flip Scarlett over into a front slam of her own.  Scarlett rallied and again used her opponent's long hair for a "hair mare".  Scarlett choked Nurse Payne in the corner with an her boot, but Nurse Payne lost her temper and pushed the surprised challenger back across the ring.  KPW's favourite caregiver charged into the attack, but was met headlong with a clothesline that put Scarlett back in control of the championship match.  The challenger went for a side slam off the ropes, but the agile Nurse Payne reversed into a flying headscissors that sent the challenger spinning!  Nurse Payne then knocked her seated opponent flat with a flying shoulderblock.  With the crowd right behind her, Nurse Payne then flattened the challenger with the Anesthetic to score the win by pinfall!
WINNER:  NURSE PAYNE pinned Scarlett with the Anesthetic (X-Factor/Chartbuster/Jazz Stinger) to retain the KPW Women's Championship.

After the match, Scarlett attacked Nurse Payne, but SUZI Q returned to KPW to make the save.  Suzi Q then introduced Miles D'Rock of their old stable the Rock 'n' Roll Connection, and they enjoyed a special victory reunion rock'n'roll dance!

No Time Limit, No Disqualification, Non-Sanctioned Tag Team Match:  BUSHWHACKER LUKE and KADE MORGAN "3G" (with KPW CEO Rip Morgan) versus "The Fixation" JIMMY FOXX and CHARLIE ROBERTS (with KPW GM Terry The Golden Greek and Alex "Danger" Donahue)
For many of the KPW fans, this was the match they had come to see. Terry the Golden Greek continued to try to run roughshod over KPW, and obviously felt he had assembled the "dream team" with Rodeo Drive and "The Fixation" in his corner.  Standing united against the foe were WWF legend Bushwhacker Luke, Luke's former flag-bearer (KPW CEO) Rip Morgan and their nephew, New Zealand's only third generation professional wrestler, Kade Morgan "3G".

Kade Morgan and Charlie Roberts of Rodeo Drive began this match for their respective teams.  Roberts gained the leverage advantage from the initial collar-and-elbow tie-up and appeared to be offering a clean break, but couldn't resist sneaking in a cheap shot.  Morgan battered away at the "King of Bling" and rattled Robert's confidence with a clothesline.  Showing his true colours (a wide streak of yellow), the "A-Lister" hid in the ropes to forestall an immediate follow-up.  Trapped in the corner, Roberts was the helpless victim of Kade Morgan's vicious knife-edge chops.  Roberts "went downstairs" to gain the advantage and stomped away on a downed "3G".  In retaliation for those stinging chops, Roberts unleashed some knife-edge chops of his own on his opponent.  Morgan rallied and reversed an Irish whip into a clothesline, but Roberts managed to escape to a friendly corner.

Jimmy Foxx tagged in and went toe-to-toe against Morgan.  "3G" scored with a clothesline, but Foxx went for the old Greco-Roman eyepoke to even things up for his team of miscreants.  KPW Head Referee Daniel Martins did his best to exercise control in the match, given its unique stipulations.  Working together, "Terry's team" drew a fired-up Bushwhacker Luke into the ring so that they could assault Morgan two-on-one behind the referee's back.  Terry the Golden Greek even got involved, getting in some shots on the helpless "3G".

At is most dangerous when his opponent is down "The Fixation" cockily ensconced himself in the driving seat by clamping on Morgan into a chinlock; "3G" fought back to his feet, but any hopes of a comeback were quickly shattered by the wily Foxx, who managed to score a quick two-count.  Foxx desperately held onto a front facelock to prevent Morgan from making the all-important tag, punctuating his ferocious efforts with a stinging back elbow.  Hating to be left out - but not wanting to get in - Roberts contributed to the match with a cheap shot on the stunned Kade Morgan.  Firing up for the defence o the family honour, Morgan struck back with a leg lariat on Jimmy Foxx, allowing the tag to be made for the fan favourites!  Bushwhacker Luke gleefully charged into the ring with a left-handed lariat on Foxx.  "The Fixation" reversed a cross corner Irish whip, but it didn't save him from being flattened with another clothesline from Bushwhacker Luke.  Luckily for the "gratifier of the masses", Roberts was right there to break up the subsequent pinfall attempt and thereby keep his team in the match.  Showing that blood is thicker than anything Terry may have used to fuse his "dream team" together, Bushwhacker Luke and Morgan double-clotheslined Roberts from the ring.  Jimmy Foxx showed how "smart" he was by ducking the double-team move, but wasn't smart enough to remove himself from the firing line and was caught square on a second attempt, the fan favourite clearing the ring of their opponents!

Outside the ring, Roberts and Foxx stalled in an attempt to dissipate their opponents' momentum.  Back in the ring, Bushwhacker Luke tied up Roberts with armwringer and punished the "Ayotollah of High Rollas" with a quintet of elbows, to the enjoyment of the fans.  Backing his younger opponent Into a neutral corner, Roberts managed to overcome his opponents' experience advantage with base treachery, taking over with another cheap shot, winding the Bushwhacker with shoulder charges to the midsection.  Enjoying himself now, Roberts chopped away on Bushwhacker Luke.  Stung back into action, Bushwhacker Luke fought back with some special "corner time" for Charlie Roberts, punctuating the lesson with forearms and knife-edge chops.  Roberts desperately fought back in the corner with a blatant choke.  The Bushwhacker reversed a cross-corner Irish whip and knocked down Roberts with a "southpaw" lariat for a near fall.

Bushwhacker Luke dominated Roberts with a knucklelock in the centre of the ring, but Roberts overcame his leverage disadvantage with another cheap shot and connected with a running knee lift.  Foxx tagged in and went to work on a downed Bushwhacker Luke with his unique "Struttin' and Cuttin'" elbowdrop, followed up with a strangely unwarranted personal tribute to "the K-Dawg" in the form of a Konnan-eque elbow drop.  Roberts tagged back in, eager to pick the bones and gain the glory by beating the 40-year wrestling veteran, but his jumping legdrop was well wide of the mark.  Bushwhacker Luke stalked the agonised Roberts, but got Irish whipped to the corner.  However, the veteran avoided Roberts' jumping vertical splash and hit a corner avalanche of his own.  Seeking to teach the young pups some tricks, Bushwhacker Luke then chatted with Head Referee Charlie Roberts so that Morgan could slip into the ring and hit a bronco buster on Roberts.  With the "King of Bling" right where he wanted him, Bushwhacker Luke unleashed some unorthodox offense by dropping his camouflage trousers to unleash a "stinkface" on the helpless, horrified Charlie Roberts, to the cheers of the KPW fans!

The teams switched off and Foxx went toe-to-toe with Kade Morgan.  Foxx elbowed his way free from a back waistlock and choked "3G" on the ring ropes.  Foxx clamped on a single leg Boston crab, freely using the ring ropes for extra leverage, with Terry chipping in.  Bushwhacker Luke was unfortunately baited into the ring once more, allowing "Terry's team" to switch off behind the referee's back.  Roberts used another blatant choke and kept "3G" grounded with a chinlock.  New Zealand's only third generation professional wrestler desperately fought back to his feet.  However, both wrestlers had the same idea for offense, and a double clothesline put both men down.

With the match veritably hanging in the balance, the race was on for either man to make the tag first.  Foxx managed to tag in Charlie Roberts and they both stretched Morgan's hamstrings out with a nasty wishbone legsplitter.  Bushwhacker Luke's anger got the better of him and he was unwittingly drawn into the fray once more, Foxx utilising the referee's confusion to level the playing field by going to Morgan's eyes like Roddy Piper, setting up the helpless Morgan for a Demolition Decapitation (double-team backbreaker and second rope elbow drop).  The completely battered "3G" was thrown to outside, which equated to being thrown to the wolves. Terry the Golden Greek and Jimmy Foxx proceeded to "mug" Morgan on the floor as Roberts ran distraction on the referee in the ring.  With a modicum of order restored, Foxx tagged in Charlie Roberts and "Terry's team" decided to have a little fun by flattening "3G" with a Hart Attack (double-team bearhug and flying clothesline) for a very close two-count.

Roberts cinched in a chinlock on Kade Morgan, forcing "3G" to fight for every precious breath.  Morgan managed to break free and the race was on to tag.  Roberts managed to win by a fingertip, but by then Bushwhacker Luke had been tagged in and was fully ready to trade eyepoke attempts with Jimmy Foxx, eventually winning that devious gambit.  Bushwhacker Luke battered Foxx with a pair of stinging southpaw lariats, obviously enjoying himself now.  "The Fixation" reversed a cross-corner whip but was caught with a DDT, though Roberts was there to make the save.  Kade Morgan came in to revenge himself on Charlie Roberts, succeeding in reversing a Samoan drop off the ropes into a devastating gourdbuster.  Foxx returned the favour for his tag team partner and made the save from the subsequent lateral press.

Bushwhacker Luke and "the Fixation" then squared off, even as Morgan and Roberts battled it out in the opposite neutral corner.  Roberts and Foxx whipped Bushwhacker Luke and Morgan towards a collision in the middle of the ring, but the fan favourite team was one step ahead, and reversed the move so that Roberts and Foxx crashed together instead!   "3G" then charged to the attack, but unfortunately for him was suckered into going out of the ring over the top rope.  In the inevitable melee that followed, KPW Head Referee Daniel Martins was an unfortunate victim of the crossfire.  Foxx and Bushwhacker Luke fought it out for their respective teams.  Terry attempted to interfere in the match once more, but Rip Morgan's fighting spirit got the better of him and he brawled with the KPW GM, all the way back to the locker room.

Seeing opportunity knocking, Foxx answered by retrieved a chair.  Charlie Roberts held Bushwhacker Luke and Foxx struck the WWF legend in the midsection.  Kade Morgan recovered and charged the ring to save his veteran uncle from any further furniture-based attacks.  Bushwhacker Luke unceremoniously ejected Roberts from the ring then desperately battled Jimmy Foxx for supremacy of the folding chair.  Kade Morgan tipped the balance of power in favour of the fan favourite team.  Bushwhacker Luke battered Foxx with the chair, revived stunned Referee Daniel Martins and joined forces with Morgan for the dreaded Battering Ram on Jimmy Foxx for the win by pinfall!
WINNERS:  BUSHWHACKER LUKE and KADE MORGAN "3G" (with KPW CEO Rip Morgan) beat "The Fixation" Jimmy Foxx and Charlie Roberts (with KPW GM Terry The Golden Greek and Alex "Danger" Donahue) when Bushwhacker Luke pinned Jimmy Foxx with the Battering Ram.

GWE (Global Wrestling Entertainment) Championship match: "English Sensation" MARCUS KOOL versus "Powerhouse" JADE DIAMOND (champion) (with Mister Juno Huia)
Seeking to compete with mutual respect on a level playing field, champion and challenger made a show of sportsmanship at the beginning of the match.  In the collar-and-elbow tie-up, Kool was first shrugged off by the Powerhouse then thrown bodily across the ring.  Using his wrestling skill, Kool trapped Diamond in an armbar, but sadly the hold availed him naught against the Powerhouse's strength.  A lariat from Diamond caught Kool up under the jaw, necessitating the challenger rolling to the outside to catch his breath.

Eager to continue the match, Diamond kept attempting to get Kool to re-enter the ring from the apron, frustrating the challenger who wanted to be allowed to re-enter the ring without being ambushed halfway by the champion.  With his frustration at all his current offence being blunted by the Powerhouse's resilience finally bringing his blood to boiling point, Kool openly slapped Diamond,  Naturally this infuriated the Powerhouse and Kool suddenly remembered what the better part of valour was, taking off at a run.  The English Sensation won the "Memphis foot race" around the ring, catching Diamond sliding back into the ring.

Kool tried to get something going in terms of offense or momentum, but was caught coming off the ropes by the GWE champion and launched skyward into a massive flapjack.  Seeking a quick kill, Diamond stretched Kool aloft in his dreaded Torture Rack, but Kool fought out of the debilitating hold and struck back at the Powerhouse with an enzuigiri to take control of the match.  Revitalised, Kool chopped and punched away on Diamond, but couldn't make an impression on the GWE champion's million-dollar physique.  Kool ran the ropes for physical momentum but got chopped down straight to the canvas.  Marcus Kool's woes continued in the corner with Diamond chopping away on the valiant challenger.  Taken from one side of the ring to the other, Kool managed to block Diamond's cross-corner charge.  Marcus Kool took to the air with a top rope flying cross body block for a close two count on the challenger.

Furious with the champion's ability to wether the storm of his attacks, Kool choked Diamond on the ring ropes.  Kool's snap mare continued to negate Diamond's vertical base, and left the GWE champion open to Kool's vicious "spinal tap" kicks to his opponent's back.  Trying to maintain control of the match with a jaw-jacker, Jade Diamond unleashed his physical prowess.  Showing off his strength, Diamond hauled Kool high up overhead, paused to "pop" one of his "guns" for the crowd, then dropped the "English Sensation" like the proverbial bad habit.  Fast approaching a new career as roadkill, Marcus Kool was further battered by a devastating trifecta combination from Jade Diamond in the form of a clothesline, back elbow and side slam, resulting in a very close two-count.  Knowing the end was near, Diamond went for the Diamond Bomb (powerbomb), but Kool showed he was still in the fight by hitting the pinpoint, lightening quick Kool Runnings (superkick) for a heart-stopping near fall.  Smelling victory in the wind, Kool went for the Tomikaze, but Diamond had enough wherewithal to reverse the manoeuvre into the dreaded Torture Rack for the submission victory.
WINNER: JADE DIAMOND (w/Mister Juno Huia) retained the Global Wrestling Entertainment Championship against Marcus Kool by submission with the Torture Rack.

Irishman MIKE RYAN and KING WILBA versus The Samoans - WILD WILLZ and MISTER SAMOA
Showcasing the international flavour of KPW, this tag match pitted a so-called King and an Irishman against a pair of Samoan hunter cousins.  The Marsters Drummers of the Cook Islands sounded the exciting new team of The Samoans to the ring, thrilling the fans.  King Wilba and Mister Samoa began the match for their respective teams.  From the initial lockup, the two competitors appeared to be equal in strength.  From a collar-and-elbow tie-up, Miser Samoa managed to back the King into the corner.  The big hunter unleashed massive chops on the regal one, delighting the KPW fans.  Not often the receiving end of manhandling from a bigger competitor, King Wilba was rocked by Mister Samoa's avalanche.

Wild Willz tagged in for his team.  Despite his speed and ferocity, the wild hunter couldn't knock the larger man off his massive royal feet despite hitting him with ferocious clotheslines, but both the Samoans working as a team managed to topple the rotund regal one.  However, one-on-one, Wild Willz was barreled back into a neutral corner and used as a punching bag by King Wilba.  Freeing himself and seeking to use his speed to overcome King Wilba's strength, Wild Willz sadly charged into a royal boot and was clubbed to the canvas.

Mike Ryan tagged in and immediately took the fight to the young Samoan hunter with knees that would have hospitalised a lesser competitor.  Never missing a chance to inflict pain for the sake of it, Ryan clamped on a vicious armlock.  Luckily for the younger competitor, Wild Willz used the ropes to assist him in somersaulting free from the punishing hold.  Ryan muscled Wild Willz back into a neutral corner and then flung Wild Willz across the ring with a hair mare.  King Wilba tagged in and locked the smaller man into a camel clutch.  With the fans behind him, Willz fought out of the punishing hold.  The fierce hunter attacked King Wilba with clotheslines but failed to take the "King of KPW" off his feet.  Willz took to the air with a flying cross body block, but was caught in mid-air by King Wilba and dropped into a forward slam for a near pinfall.

Using his weight to his advantage, King Wilba flattened Wild Willz with an avalanche and a sideslam.  Mike Ryan was unleashed once more upon the foe and his viciousness and experience took their toll on his younger opponent. Wild Willz missed a charge to the corner, and with both men down, both teams raced to make the all-important tag.  Ryan tagged in King Wilba, but Wild Willz managed to tag in the massive Mister Samoa who unleashed the island styles on the self-crowned King with a giant flying back elbow.  Mister Samoa tagged in Wild Willz who rode his team's momentum all the way to the top rope for a high risk manoeuvre, but his flying splash missed the King of KPW.  Mike Ryan and King Wilba mercilessly double-teamed the fallen wild hunter.  Mike Ryan choked Wild Willz, refused to break the illegal hold, and so Head Referee Daniel Martins was left with no option but to disqualify the "gruesome twosome".
WINNERS:  MISTER SAMOA and WILD WILLZ beat Irishman Mike Ryan and King Wilba by disqualification when Mike Ryan refused to break a blatant choke on Wild Willz.

No Disqualification KPW Championship match: WHETU the Maori Warrior (with Mister Juno Huia) versus THE TECHNICIAN (champion)
This was Whetu's golden opportunity to compete for the KPW Championship on a level playing field, with no chance of the Technician getting himself disqualified in order to keep his precious title.  Starting the match by trying to outwrestle the challenger, the Technician worked a side headlock and gained the advantage by hitting a shoulderblock.  Whetu retaliated with a shoulderblock of his own, trapping the champion with armdrags and holding on to the limb with a purpose.  The Technician brought his wrestling prowess to bear, Whetu fought out of a back waistlock;

Champion and challenger traded full nelsons and the advantage, ending when the Technician succeeded with a headlock takedown.  The Technician doggedly hung on but  Whetu made it back to his feet.  The Maori Warrior grabbed a side headlock of his own, but the Technician backed him to the ropes and then popped the challenger upwards into a flapjack.  Whetu managed to come back by flipping over the Technician's back bodydrop attempt, and dropkicked the Technician who bailed to the outside.  Whetu didn't allow the Technician to catch his breath by following up with a rana from the ring apron.

Showing the champion that there was no place he could hide, Whetu vaulted the Technician upwards into the metal barricade.  Back in the ring, Whetu kept the champion on the back foot with a jumping splash in the corner, but a second attempt was dodged by the defending champion.  Smelling blood in the water, the Technician centred his attack on Whetu's leg, grounding the high-flyer and putting the Maori Warrior on the canvas - the Technician's element.  The Technician floated out from a Maori drop attempt and retaliated with a fisherman's gutbuster for a near fall.

His viciousness coming to the fore, the Technician used the "no disqualification" stipulation to his advantage by slamming Whetu's battered leg against the ring apron.  Taking a page from Bret Hart's playbook, the Technician wrapped on an agonising figure four leglock around the metal ringpost, trapping Whetu in a cage of agony.  What was even worse for Whetu, the no disqualification match stipulation meant that the vicious Technician was under no obligation to break the hold and referee Danny "Soul Man" Sol was only there to register any submission from Whetu.  Back in the ring, the Technician dragged Whetu to the centre of the ring.  The defending champ then clamped on a heel hook, a dangerous manoeuvre he'd warned me about which can easily tear knee ligaments.  With his free leg, Whetu kicked free from the devastating hold but the Technician chop blocked the Maori Warrior down to the canvas once more.

Whetu reversed an Irish whip into a back elbow and followed up with a flying back elbow, but had been so beaten that he couldn't make the cover quickly enough to score better than a near fall.  The champion got whipped into a corner and rebounded out, staggered.  Whetu went up to the top rope for a high risk moonsault, but the Technician was aware enough to catch the Maori Warrior in mid-air and drop the challenger into a Michinoku Driver II for a heart-stoppingly close near pinfall.  The Technician pulled out all the stops by going to the top rope for an uncharacteristic high risk manoeuvre, but Whetu channeled the mana and caught the Technician in a back waistlock, dropping the champion on his head all the way from the top rope with a super release German suplex!

Channeling the support from his whanau and fans, Whetu went up top once more, but sadly his flying headbutt missed the Technician.  Driven to distraction and desperate measures, the Technician yelled for the KPW championship belt to be brought to him; this was an underhanded action without honour yet still perfectly legal under the unique match stipulations.  The champ swung for the fences with the precious championship belt that he believed to be his birthright, but ended up instead "dying by the sword" when Whetu ducked the savage attack and hit back with a spinning heel kick to the Technician's face that included the championship belt for emphasis.   With the crowd beside itself in excitement, Whetu climbed to the top rope, bad leg and all, and this time his top rope flying headbutt flew straight and true for the winning pinfall to capture the KPW Championship at long last!
WINNER: WHETU pinned The Technician with a top rope flying headbutt to win the KPW Championship!

After the match, Whetu celebrated with the ecstatic KPW fans.  Also on hand were Whetu's whanau, the source of his strength and support which enabled him to continue his quest for the KPW Championship that was now his!   "Halloween Howl 6" closed with the KPW fan favourite wrestlers leaving the locker room to congratulate Whetu on his huge win and acknowledge the cheers and support of the KW fans!

BLAIR "THE FLAIR"
