At "Halloween Howl 6" on 26th October, KPW star Nurse Payne is currently scheduled to defend the KPW Women's Championship against a fierce challenger from NZWPW, the fiery and vicious Scarlett. Risking life and limb, KPW's not-so-secret-agent Blair "the Flair" managed to inveigle himself into Scarlett's rigorous training schedule in order to gather the challenger's thoughts concerning her impending title match.
BLAIR "THE FLAIR": Ms. Scarlett, you have the chance of a lifetime at KPW "Halloween Howl 6" when you take on KPW's Nurse Payne for the KPW Women's Championship. What are your thoughts going in to this match?
SCARLETT: First and foremost, I'm looking forward to getting my hands on Nurse Payne! I know I can beat her. I would've done so in the (KPW Women's Championship) battle royal (at KPW "Mayhem" in May 2012) if (co-competitor) Misty hadn't hit me with the Raging Thunder earlier in the match!
BtF: How do you intend to overcome Nurse Payne's greater level of experience?
S: Well, she may have greater experience, but that doesn't count as much as my greater desire to win! Just between you and me and everybody else, I was prepared to do whatever it took to get this match and I'm prepared to do whatever it takes to win! I like shiny things, so I'd love that KPW Women's Championship cup. It'd go great with my shiny ring outfits! It may be true that Nurse Payne has spent more time in the ring - I haven't bothered to count her matches; why should I waste my time - but I've been watching wrestling for much longer. I've learnt much more more about wrestling than her that way. And I haven't been trained by a lunatic like the Brute! There's nothing new under the sun that Nurse Payne can throw at me!
BtF: I gather that your "warm-up" match for "Halloween Howl 6" against (NZWPW's) Lollie Lane (at NZWPW Ngaio Evolution, 5 October 2012) didn't go your way. What did you learn from that match that you can take into your title match?
S: Wardrobe malfunctions aside, I've learned to keep my "assets" covered. Look, I'm the best female wrestler in NZWPW. And after the title match, I'm going to be the best female wrestler in KPW, as well! I almost feel sorry for Nurse Payne. Almost!
BtF: How do you feel about being involved in the first cross-promotional Women's Championship match?
S: I'm honoured. I think it's a great sign of the cross-promotional co-operation that's possible between KPW and NZWPW. The only thing that's greater is the fact that I'm going to go into NZWPW's next show ("Bushwhacker Luke's Homecoming", 1st November, Taita Community Centre) with the KPW Women's Championship!
