Maniacs United presents "MANIA MADNESS" on Saturday 21 July 2012 in Auckland. The event is scheduled to kick off at 7pm, and the event will be held on the corner of St. Luke's Road and Sandringham Road in St Luke's.
In additional to the Maniacs United talent present on the show, stars from Kiwi Pro Wrestling are primed and ready to exhibit the finest in New Zealand professional wrestling action for all the family. The following are the matches in which KPW stars are competing:
Kiwi Pro Wrestling's own caregiver travels north to operate on the biggest, baddest veteran in Maniacs United, J.P.E. On paper, these two competitors are polar opposites: JPE enjoys the height, reach and strength advantage, but Nurse Payne has showed more than once that her agility is her greatest physical asset. JPE can mix it up with brawling or unleash destructive power moves, but Nurse Payne has shown resilience that has surprised many an opponent and led to more than one surprise victory.
Nurse Payne is a relative newcomer to the squared circle with an impressive degree of athleticism and unlimited potential, but the caregiver from KPW is giving up a tremendous amount in terms of experience to the veteran JPE - this might well prove to the single greatest deciding factor in this match. JPE is on her home turf, and you can bet she came to fight! Whatever the outcome, it promises to be a thrilling bout between two spirited competitors who'll go
all out to entertain the fans!
Stix likes nothing better than banging out a tune on the skins for his fans and beating out the same tattoo on his opponents' heads. Another newcomer to the wrestling ring, Stix has nevertheless impressed with his ability to connect with the fans, raw potential, dedication to his craft, determination and infectious enthusiasm. The good time rock 'n' roll drummer is willing to take a risk in the ring and eager to take on all comers in his quest to be the best. However, it's fair to say that he's never faced such a strange opponent in all his fledgling career.
A man of few words but many moves, the "Purple One" can easily amaze with his cunning quickness and ability to think outside the squared circle. Wrestlers who underestimate him run the risk of being handed a shock loss. With the appearance of a lavender clown but a mind like a steel trap, Purple Haze likes nothing better than running rings around his opponent. Nevertheless, he'll have to take Stix seriously or the drummer will be notching up another win!
A recent outing with his tag team partner Bull Addamz against Lazarus Volt and H-Flame resulted in Jordan's team being dealt a defeat, so you can bet he's looking for revenge in this one-on-one encounter. There are those who say that "the Natural" does his best work as part of a gang and that he can't get the job done without someone running interference on his behalf, but that would overlook the fact that Jordan's athleticism is unparalleled. It's true that he carries a tremendous ego and has no problems cheating at every opportunity, but his physical prowess is what makes him such a formidable foe. If Jordan can just stay focused, this match is his to lose.
However, there's no-one more adept at taking someone out of their game plan than the "little man from the big top". Lazarus Volt brings his love of entertaining the fans and transition from being a ring master to being a "master of the ring" to bear in a bewildering combination that leaves his opponents dazzled and confused! Lazarus Volt's speed and cunning are prodigious, and he has an uncanny knack at finding gaps in his opponent's defence that he can exploit to gain the advantage. One big aerial manoeuvre from Volt and Steve Jordan's night could be over! Will the Natural rise to the top, or will he be knocked off his perch by the man from the centre ring? At "Mania Madness", the fans get the chance to find out!
